- This article exerts a reflection on the competences that library students must acquire in the distance mode, on one of the most important points that interest us today: Information and Communication Technologies. More precisely, one looks at what has to do with the administration of Integrated Library Management Systems, and about the need to acquire programming skills so that since they are students, future librarians are able to adapt the sigb to the needs and objectives pursued by these information units, in a critical, independent and comprehensive manner.
