- The fact that bookless libraries have many common features similar to the traditional libraries that utilize digital libraries, virtual libraries, mixed libraries or information technologies at high level makes it difficult to identify and name this species. In the literature mostly 'kitapsız library' of libraries such as the first example in the form of expression in Turkey Esenler Adnan Büyükdeniz Digital Library which was founded by the municipality. In this study, the definition, features, service diversity and applications of bookless libraries are emphasized. Considering the similarities and differences between digital and mixed libraries, the phenomenon of a bookless library is examined. Examples are given to the library in the world and in Turkey Esenler kitapsız Adnan Büyükdeniz Municipality Digital Library are introduced.
