- In librarianship, the notion of library has been consolidated in a global, justified and calm point, forgetting the need to transform Latin American society, because it is based on other conceptions of the world and other cultural needs; the development of a nationalist and Latin American social project with special reference to the creation and consolidation of a library reading society is therefore a priority, with the promotion of reading not as something merely conjunctural or as another service, but as its raison d'être, its generating circumstance.
