- This work analyzes the use of digital platforms by the Brazilian Army for the dissemination of its scientific production, its journals, its ostensible documents and its historical and cultural image collection in a collaborative way, contributing to making knowledge in the country. The concepts of Green Open Access, Golden Open Access, Open Access Movement in a context of use of free software is used to delimit the experience of the institution in the national scenario. The importance of using web media to reach different portions of society is presented in graphs that express the significant growth in the availability of information in various formats (texts, images, videos etc) through software created in an academic environment (DSPACE, Open Journal System, Open Conference System, OMEKA and VU Find. The collaborative role played by the international community is seen as a positive consequence of these movements in that there is a great exchange of information among users of open source software. The information exhibition numbers exceed 160 international thesis and dissertations, 30 journals in electronic format, 20 events (symposium, seminars or meetings of expert) and 250 cultural imagery items, all available on platforms that had programming conflicts solved through online support of the international community that manages each of the adopted software.
