- In the present informational society, the visualization of information and knowledge makes it possible to achieve an effective representation, understanding and communication of the growing volume of information coming from diverse sources and the great variety of complex and abstract concepts that exist. The objective of the present work is to make a critical reflection about the future of this scientific field for the Pedagogical Sciences, in its desire to perfect the training of university professionals. The reflection focuses on the notion of visualization of information and knowledge. A number of considerations are also made about the cognitive, technological and communicative visualizations, the most common errors involved and the pedagogical opportunities of the field.
