- In 1998, the IFLA revolutionized the idea of an accelerated, efficient and rational cataloging, simplifying the way to find information resources. The concept, method and algorithm is named "Functional Requirements for Bibliographic Records" (FRBR) FRBR is an "object-related model" of metadata to describe information objects. To a certain extent, this means producing a piece of work through a single, distinct bibliographic record, thus FRBR constructively builds upon established cataloging standards. How do we put it into practice, will it really make it easier for both our work and consumer demand?!
