- This work, of empirical cut and with a descriptive medotology, gathers the importance of establishing parameters for the development of instruments of evaluation of abilities, competences and informational alphabetization, since although the literature has emphasized the importance of the evaluation and diagnosis of informative skills and practices, the source itself also presents an absence this item, since some researchers report the methodology and results of the study without providing the instruments used (LICEA, 2008, LAU, 2017), thus preventing the opportunity for said instruments to be used, adapted or replicated by other academics. The results of this research are presented through the analysis of the basic parameters to be considered in the design of evaluation instruments focused on the area of information skills and competencies and through the compilation of some of the instruments that evaluate the information skills and practices, recovered particularly in institutional repositories.
