- The curriculum "D" and now with more emphasis on the base document for the design of new curriculum "E", has been emphasized the need and importance of developing skills for the efficient and updated use of information sources and a broad digital culture as an essential quality trait in the training of professionals, this acknowledges the formation of information competencies. However, the study of the scientific literature shows insufficiencies that limit the integration of information competencies in university curriculum in Cuba. Although several Cuban authors have exhorted to implement options that allow conditioning the transversally and convergence of the process of information competencies formation, this has been a link to be found. The objective of the present work is to base that the curricular strategies and, in particular, the Curricular Strategy for the management of the scientific and technical information, meets the requirements to be the transversal axis that as a backbone of the process of formation of information competences, ensures its convergence and integration at the level of whole curriculum. This guarantees the contribution of all disciplines and subjects to the achievement of the digital culture claimed by the Ministry of Higher Education of Cuba for its professionals.
