- This text presents a reflection of the use on the platform and system PUBLINDEX, whose original idea was to be a bibliographic information system, but which unfortunately has remained only in a measurement system, rather than motivating and promoting the quality, visibility and impact of Colombian scientific journals, serves as a system to regulate the salary incentives of university professors, and is therefore, not well accepted, neither by the scientific community nor by the editors, perceived more than an imposition than a promotion to Colombian scientific communication, which should be the ultimate goal.
