- The automation of libraries, has within its objectives become a useful tool to streamline processes and streamline the services of information units. In this effort, libraries have begun to incorporate automatic identification systems for some time, taking advantage of the advantages of the rapid development of technology, thus improving their productivity and efficiency. The automatic identification, could be defined in very general traits like a tool that allows the systematized collection of information, which is stored in codified form. In the present work, three systems of automatic identification used and being used today by the libraries will be addressed, these are: the bar code, the QR code and the RFID system.
