- The mobile web, in a nutshell, and simply has to do with the possibility of accessing the World Wide Web through a mobile device, that is, from a cell phone or from a tablet. The attractiveness of mobile communication technologies is that they allow immediate communication on the move, making it easier for people to come into contact with each other, regardless of time and place. Smartphone applications are leading the digital universe and are now close to being what we invest the most time in all digital media. Some of these applications may not seem readily applicable to libraries, but it is necessary to take into account that other public or private entities are making use of these mobile technologies, and that this can be very valuable in triggering new ideas and initiatives, and That innovation in any arena is built on a knowledge base. Therefore, libraries must take into account the technologies that our users are using to offer new, more robust services without making users leave their comfort zones to integrate the services of the library into the behavioral patterns of daily life of people. At its most basic level, an increasing number of libraries are creating mobile versions of their websites to facilitate their users' access to the contents and services offered by the library. These applications provide information on library services and collections, access to catalog search, digital content, location, schedules and thematic guides through formats adapted to the small screen. But the universe of applications goes further, When we talk about mobile applications in libraries we have to take into account at least three areas of application: applications of libraries.
