- Some aspects of the “information quality” construct are presented, as well as affect theory and color theory basic constituents, in order to sustain a field research proposal focused on users ́ perception of information sources on a non-textual representation basis. It describes a five step methodology oriented towards an exploratory field research. Russell ́s (2003) Core Affect circumplex approach is used and related to Farina ́s, Bastos and Perez (2006) color studies. At this point of the investigation, the search team has already prepared the information source selection, delimited the universe of participants, customized two computational platforms and discussed a first approach to a statistical/data mining analysis. This study aims to contribute to the methodological development of affective/perceptual computing, emotional design and information seeking behavior new lines of research
