- In its statement of March 17th, 2016 Leibnitz Association’s senate recommends to stop the co-funding of ZB MED – Leibniz Information Centre for Life Sciences. Immediately after this announcement public incitements endorsing the persistence of ZB MED were published by medical institutions and libraries. Also on the internet initiatives were taken especially by the action group #keepzbmed whose petition was signed by 9,607 people. The controversy also reached the German Bundestag.
