- QWIEN, the Center for Gay & Lesbian Culture and History, is the only archive for LGBT history in Austria which is open for all researchers. After the archival preparation of the constantly growing collection it can be used for free for academic research. Besides QWIEN is actively engaged in research projects which concentrate on the persecution of homosexuals in the NS-time. An important part of QWIEN's work is the communication of research results and the history of LGBT persons in Vienna.
