- SHARE Catalogue is part of well defined and wide project named SHARE (Scholarly Heritage and Access to Research) aimed at promoting local cooperation and sharing library and documental services between the following Universities: University of Naples “Federico II”, University of Naples L’Orientale, University of Naples Parthenope, University of Salerno, University of Sannio, University of Basilicata, and University of Salento. Hence, SHARE strives to facilitate the access to librarian resources, distributed over a large territory, and to meet the needs of information and research of the users. In SHARE Catalogue, all the data from the bibliographic catalogues of the accredited librarian systems, are converted in Linked open data (LOD), according to the Resource Description and Access (RDF, the data model codifying, exchange and re-use of metadata in website). Through a single navigation interface, organized according to the Functional Requirement for Bibliographic Records (FRBR), the final user can easily utilize a new tool, enriched by the connection with external projects, mainly related to Authority file and Encyclopedia online, such as: VIAF, Library of Congress Name Authority File, ISNI, Wikipedia, Wikidata. Furthermore, it is important to underline the role of SHARE Catalogue as a useful reference system for all the librarians involved in sharing and managing information.
