- This article reports Latindex activities in the Dominican Republic and its contribution to improve the editorial quality of Dominican academic journals and promote their dissemination. The current state of Dominican journals is described using Latindex system as data source, and the results of their qualification by means of Latindex indicators are presented. The article ends with an analysis of the advances and main challenges in the development process of academic journals in the Dominican Republic.
