- This paper reviews the user studies developed within the digital library projects, particularly in the use of these studies in design processes and evaluation of digital information spaces. It analyzes several projects listed in the literature, attending on application of user studies and approaches and techniques used in them. In conclusion it proposes the necessary integration of user studies since the beginning of development projects and creation of digital libraries.
