- The general objective of this research is to understand the characteristics of research training in undergraduate schools of Library and Information Science of the Argentine national universities. With a methodological quantitative and qualitative approach subjects programs with research content in existing curricula were analyzed, with special attention aspects of content, objectives and learning strategies. It is concluded that there is significant presence of subjects for research training in academic degree, although its distribution is not uniform and there are differences in content, objectives and activities. lines open questions for further research are discussed.
