- This document offers advances of the project "Recovery, valorization and dissemination of the heritage ot the Astronomical Photographic Plates Archive of the Astronomical Observatory of Cordoba. Preventive conservation, process analysis of digitization and metadata construction. First phase". The archive contains about 20.000 photographs and spectra on glass plates, a product of the scientific work of the Observatory. In 2011 the archive was transferred to the Observatory Library and actions for preservation and access through digitization and description of the material started. Each institutional level this includes -archive, library, astronomical observatory and public university- provides different bibliographic practices and models, and involve multiple description and coding rules and standards.
