- Digital libraries are complex information systems, which run on the Internet. Their facilities are increasing daily with the advances in the technology. The purpose of the digital libraries is to provide the required information to its users in a convenient format in time. Since the digital libraries are running on the Internet and the users are from different psychological, educational and social backgrounds, the usage of digital libraries is varying from user to user which necessitates the best user interface. Hence web sites providing single point of access to applications and information is important. The paper discusses library’s knowledge portal, technologies used, digital resources, web sites, and related services.
