  • Now, Social media is a part of our life cycle and has become a very effective tool for communication and marketing. The authors try to explore how librarians and information professionals use these social media/networks for marketing library services and information products. Facebook, Twitter and Wikipedia are very popular social media among all and they can reach out to remote students and build long term relationship that are beneficial to both students and librarians. This paper also explains benefits and barriers of using social media for library marketing.
