- Immersed in the phenomenon of the appearance and use of information and communications technology (ICT) in different social sectors, the objective of this research is to study the evolution of information and digital literacy of college students majoring in Communication and Journalism at the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences (FCPS) of the Autonomous University of Querétaro (UAQ). The method used in the study is from a mixed approach, with quantitative preponderance in which it was designed and applied a questionnaire to the last seven generations of students. Some results and conclusions is the average of 63% of the respondents; Students have formed under the technological development of ICT increasingly and a digital culture. This fact leads us to highlight the need to design initiatives for future professionals develop skills to meet their needs and to participate in the digital culture, both individually and socially constructive manner.
