- The aim of this study is to analyze the contributions that have been made in Spain in the field of librarianship applied to higher education. We want to describe the development of research in quantitative and chronological terms, the topics that have focused this research, the most productive authors and their institutional affiliation, the main sources of publication of this type of work, the grey literature in this field and ongoing research projects on university libraries. The aim is both to describe the state of research and reflection and provide some guidance on what are the sources and how to access them and further research on this topic. The methodology of our analysis consisted of a review of the databases where these works (ISOC BEDOC, Theseo...), the contents of the main Spanish Congress of the period. We make a basic analysis and quantification in order to give some results and conclusions
