- Community service is a training opportunity within the Library, in the form of service-learning for students to adopt theoretical and practical tools aimed at selfless action undertaken with the community and their main information needs; by requiring them, knowledge of the strengths and weaknesses disciplinary in which are being formed, and through which contribute to the community they serve. Developing a Community Service within the Library, involving the active participation of students and community, guided by a draft joint action by the teacher specialty, they seek to address, from the diversity of perspectives, an information problem or training detected in the community. This complex task involves factors of all kinds: theoretical resources, organizational, political, administrative, digital environment, among others.
