- The presentation considers the role of the specialized Libraries centers in the 80 and 90. The authoress observes that in the 21st century they evolve as Laboratories of Information. This change of paradigm demonstrates the importance of the development of different lines of research. The traditional ones such as metric studies on publications, or about on line catalogues and users profiles, should be complemented and completed with lines orientated to support the study of other aspects of information like metadata schemas, primary data, authorities, identification and digital humanities among other possible research lines. In conclusion she presents the projects in development in the Argentine Center of Scientific and Technological Information, CAICYT of CONICET.
