- The article has considered the foundation and development of the “subject librarian” position at the NBU Library. In the frame of the project TEMPUS “Modernization and organizational development of the University Library 1999-2001” it has been organized the training course for the professional development of the newly established position. The authors have described the subject librarian’s goals and tasks. It has been emphasized on the flexible approach of the job planning and career development at the library.
