- The present article collects an analysis about the way in which armed conflict has influenced in the creation of Human Rights Archives in Latin America, as a manner of gather the memories of violence trying to repair and recognize them, endeavoring to the “non-repetition” of these violent acts. The historical revision of some of the most relevant Latin American armed conflicts from 1945 to 2014 is used, due to, in example of Colombian case, in comparison of other countries of the same continent such as Argentina, El Salvador, or Guatemala, the armed conflict has not ceased yet. All of this with the purpose of understanding the role of memory, the duty of the State and the archives as a source of protection of the vulnerable rights due to this conflicts.
