- The article focuses attention on the importance of terminology as part of the training of librarians from the School of Library Science at the University of Antioquia in its 50 years of existence. Based on the missionary functions of teaching, research and extension, the role of terminology as an object of knowledge in the curriculum, research activity and research collectives is located, as well as research and various outreach activities conducted in relation to terminology. Highlights the role played by teachers in the area and especially the promotion of the study of this discipline by Professor Bertha Nelly Cardona Rave, as one of its pioneers at the University of Antioquia and Colombia. At the end a projection of what may be the terminology in the future as line postgraduate training of the Master of Information Science School appears.
