- In the absence of data on the employment status of librarians in Argentina began a survey from the Legal Committee of the Assembly Pro-Union Library. The objective was to collect information and to reflect, in the first instance, the current professional reality nationwide. At the invitation responded library 447 (7.83% of the population librarian) it was spread by personal and institutional emails and different lists of national interest. This allowed to collect sufficient data totales- but not to initiate a preliminary study of the various work situations. We analyzed levels of training, different jobs, categorization in the labor market, wages, employment contracts, etc. A preliminary analysis of 193 responses (2% of the total) is presented.
