- Concepts concerning to the system of the authority control are defined. The structure of the authority MARC records and MARC 21 basic definitions for the authority data are examined. It is told about mastering and introduction of the communicative format MARC 21 for the authority data in Scientific library of NaUKMA. Features of an authority names file of the library of NaUKMA are specified. Methodical elaboration of Scientific library of NaUKMA "Use of MARC 21 format for the authority data in creation of the authority names files of persons and organizations" is represented.
