- Based on a survey in 2012 the authors of this study investigated the relationship between the Austrian university libraries and the public. Unlike to university libraries in other countries all institutions of this kind in Austria are public libraries as well which are available for broad levels of the population for information supply. The results of the survey show however that the different libraries do fulfill this task in a different way and with different success.
