- The university libraries of Austria's 21 federal universities are represented by the Council of the Austrian University Libraries (ubifo). On a national level these libraries are important partners in the Austrian Library Association and in the Co-operation E-Media Austria (KEMÖ). On an international level many of these libraries cooperate with the Electronic Journal Catalogue (EZB), the Database In-formation System (DBIS), the Library Performance Index (BIX), the document delivery service Subito and E-books On Demand (EOD). Important future areas of cooperation which are discussed in the Austrian University Library Panel are long-term preservation issues, distributed archiving and Open Access.
