- Among the main proposals of the cataloguing area are the FRBR, which constitute a new concept in cataloguing rules and were created by the Cataloguing, classification and Indexing Section study group of IFLA, which presented a report offering a new perspective of structure and relationship of bibliographic registers. In this context, this paper is aimed at analyzing and making feasible the FRBR application extensibility by means of Data Modeling concepts when building digital catalogues. The logical analysis of data reflected in bibliographic registers generates the description of essential elements based on entities, relationship and attributes. The FRBR requirements define only one proposal of an mplementation model in an information environment, thus, this study in intended to present a cataloguing model process contemplating FRBR concepts and Conceptual Data Modeling.
