- The selection of specific vocabulary for teaching specialized languages must be based on rigorous lexicographical studies, for which it is possible today to have given the usual techniques of documentary information. A practical example of a methodology with which the authors have been working for some time, aimed at analyzing the lexical aspects of the texts used in the teaching of English for Specific Purposes (ESP) is presented in this paper. The work of creating a document database, from which automatically performs the statistical analysis of frequencies in order to establish what the specific terms most used in computer documentation are. For it has been processed a corpus of over two hundred thousand words.
