- A library role as a documentary communication system is examined from the point of view of theory of documentology. A library is described not only as a terminal system but also as a genesic and transit documentary communication system. The generalized description of activity of library, sent to providing of informative queries of users, related to the use of published printed and electronic documents is offered. It is marked on general lines and differences in activity of traditional and electronic library.
