- Usually, bibliometric studies about scientific journals are based almost exclusively on the data provided by the so-called citation indexes, particularly Web of Science and its competitor Scopus. In addition, there are some citation indexes in specific disciplines and new products like digital libraries SciELO and Redalyc, national projects developed in Spain, and even the emergence of Google Scholar Metrics, that allow to have alternative sources of data subjects , but also based on the citation. However, traditional bibliographic databases may also provide other bibliometric indicators on the performance of the journals. A good example is the portal Biblat of UNAM databases, Clase and Periodica. This paper aims to assess which provide different indicators that can be extracted from databases that analyzes journal articles, especially in social sciences and humanities. As a case study, the possibilities of the database of CSIC, ISOC, are analyzed to provide bibliometric indicators, in a similar way as was done from the databases of the UNAM. Finally, a specific proposal for data model and indicators for this product is formalized.
