  • The world, society and people are in an ongoing process of change and adaptation in the areas of economics, technology, politics , education , etc. In the specific case , higher education is framed by global changes that are occurring due to trends or megatrends. In response to these global changes or megantendencias , changes in education, the demands of society, the demands of the labor market , etc., and there is a need to adopt the approach of skills in the curriculum of higher education , allowing respond to the requirements environment , respond to the great challenges of society, reorient the process of teaching to learning ; link knowledge to real life , to its application , curriculum flexibility , and knowledge management . In order to fulfill its objectives , academic libraries have to evolve into a new model called Resource Centre for Learning and Research Process , which allows support learning , research and teaching, among others, which requires knowing the skills approach , the process of curriculum for each specialty higher education or career , design involving professional profile expressed in skills, curriculum , educational resources and evaluation.
