- Based on the Greek myths of Ariadne's thread leading to the exit of the labyrinth and of the fabric of Penelope, who weaves during the day, and undoes the work every night, we carried out a metaphor with the epistemological analysis of a science. This analysis is not a thread leading to final solutions, neither a meaningless work. We propose a dialectical approach in the epistemological analysis. Using this approach, we recognize the existence of opposites in unity and opposition, but without overcoming in an ulterior synthesis. We present an application of this dialectical approach to the case of the Information Science.
