  • In an Europe where 20% of adult Europeans have no literacy skills, i.e., have low levels of reading and informational competences, what does the concept of Information Society and being a prosumer mean? And what role should information professionals play when faced with information management, organization and presentation issues? This paper aims at answering these questions, analysing the way the brain develops skills, competences, beliefs and behaviours. In that way, it is indicative of the importance of establishing the area of neuroinformation, within the scope of training and research in Information Sciences.
