- Published statistics show digital reading in Spain , as noted above, this is a clear progression in recent years. Sales of electronic devices, both electronic ink as tablets, also follow a steady growth rate. Moreover, more and more initiatives from the publishing industry, both in collection development and in the purely digital business models. Given these variables, from the Research Group E-Lectra, University of Salamanca, we proceeded to analyze the phenomenon of digital reading through a survey whose objectives were to know: 1. What is the relationship with digital media. Two. How to read between devices. Three. What benefits are the most used and the extent to which you use. April . What are the practical purchase and download books. The survey was conducted in May 2012. It was we launched through various social networks Facebook and specialized groups run by members of E-Lectra as "Libros electrónicos" ( https://www.facebook.com/groups/universoebook/ ), which has 1,250 members, "Somos 2.0 "( https://www.facebook.com/groups/somos20/ ), with 980 members , blog as "Universo Abierto"( http://www.universoabierto.com/), distribution email lists as InfoDoc (http://www.dokumentalistas.com/sin-categoria/lista-de-distribucion-infodoc-en-dokumentalistas// ) with about 8,000 members. The survey was answered by 489 individuals, so that the estimation error for the total sample, to a 95.44 % confidence, and in the case of maximum uncertainty (p = q = 0.5) is 4.5 %.
