- Teaching guides are a very important document in a degree for checking the adequacy of curriculum competencies. The skills acquired by students are related to Information Management in work environments characterized by the use of technologies constantly evolving.In this context, it is necessary to review and analyze all the skills present in the teaching guides at the Degree in Information and Documentation in the University of Zaragoza. The objectives of this work are: a) to compare the degree of implementation of skills b) Identify the skills in different subjects repeated c) Assess the skills adjust to the professional profiles d) Identify the skills underdeveloped in the various subjects. The working method is the creation of a database with all the skills. Subsequently, we performed a lexical and conceptual analysis to compare the sources of information and establish competency maps for subjects to facilitate the identification of duplications and failures. Finally, you create a database with profiles and skills demanded by society. The results of the analysis of the skills will, overall, improve the quality of the degree, and specifically, implementing different corrective measures, like: a) harmonize contents and eliminate redundancies; b) identify specific skills contained in the Libro Blanco, but not to the degree at the University of Zaragoza, c) standardizing competencies; d) identify the strengths and empower them in studies of second and third cycle, and e), know the reality of the University of Zaragoza on competence in information management and adaptation to current demand.
