- Web 2.0 strategies for public libraries (translation of title). Based on three major developments that are changing how the Internet is used – i.e. social Networks, lead by Facebook and Twitter, the increasing availabilty of mobile Internet and compatible devices, the increasing popularity of location based services - this article shows a possible role for libraries in the changing online world and helps develop a Web 2.0 strategy for public libraries. Selected examples for possible Web 2.0 strategies and channels are introduced. The article aims to encourage libraries to actively participate in Web 2.0.
