- The workshop was held on April 18th in the Institute of Catalan Studies (IEC), to a full audience. The attendees numbered 150, including journal publishing and distribution experts, doctoral students and academic and research library professionals. The event was organized by two research groups: “Culture and Digital Content” from the University of Barcelona’s Faculty of Library and Information Science and “Research in Digital Documentation” from the Pompeu Fabra University; the Consortium of Catalan University Libraries (CBUC), CERCA, the Library of Catalonia, and the IEC itself. Three principal topics were discussed: publishing models, business models, and impact and quality evaluation.
