- In the context of the World Library and Information Congress 2013 and the 79th IFLA General Assembly, in Singapore from August 17th to August 23rd, the Cataloguing Standing Committee meetings took place. This paper describes news that came out from these meetings and the projects in which the Section is currently working. Also, given that it was my first time as a Standing Committee member, I narrate briefly my personal experience and a few considerations in order to motivate others to actively participate in IFLA to achieve a better representation of professionals from Latin America and the Caribbean at IFLA.
