- The scientific research takes place under the conditions of an arising paradigm, known as e-Science or fourth Paradigm. This new way of perform science is characterized by intensive application of computer networks, distributed digital repositories and by extraordinary generation of research data in digital formats. The objective of the study is to analyze how research data combined with information technologies can enrich traditional publications creating new concepts of scientific documents that can deal with the complexity of scientific research of the current paradigm, breaking the barrier of text and creating semantic relationships between e-prints and data and data collections of research data. In this direction, the methodology of this work focuses on the studies and analysis of the structure, standards and technologies of scientific publication model called enhanced publications. The result of this study and analysis is what is presented in this article.
