- The paper presents experiences and interesting things from the study tour to the Netherlands, which took place during processing of the diploma thesis in September 2012. Although the original mission of trip was focused on the marketing activities of public libraries, final outcome was the overall finding of the current state of the Dutch public libraries, and in particular on examples of good practice. Author’s theoretical knowledge was supplemented by practical findings from visits to seven public libraries, the Royal Library and two branch organizations in the provinces of North Holland, South Holland and Flevoland.
