- Contemporary society uses new technologies in everyday life. The technological and media resources are present in the production, organization, distribution and access to records of knowledge, and this leads to the construction of a new socio-cultural, educational and economic context. Beside these factors is the exponential growth of documentary units of information, which requires the adequacy of librarianship processes that meet effectively and efficiently to the information needs of different audiences mode. With the advent of technology also arise facilities to share bibliographic records among the various pieces of information.
