- ΕSTIA constitutes one of the first open access repositories developed in Greece through the 2nd CSF, where initially graduate/postgraduate theses and PhD’s have been archived by Library's staff. The present study describes the development of the whole procedure to a self archiving model and its transition into an inter-departmental collaborative framework. This new model allows the end-user to deposit his work at the reposirtory. All theses are being checked by the LIC’s staff and consequently are published on the repository. Ιnitial results of the evaluation process are briefly presented. All the above are included in the project for upgrading LIC services named “Advanced Digital Repository and Electronic Library Services for Harokopio University” co funded by the European Operational Program “Digital Convergence”.
