- The Dictionary is “a specialized reference works, monolingual in Castilian with English equivalents and definitions created from the terminology of the field (Quintero, 2006). For this reason, research to develop this core theme has a particular impact on the Colombian archives, as there is a lack of specific history of this type of work in the country. For the reasons mentioned above, this article is presented here as archival pioneer of the country, contributing to the conceptual basis of our theory and looking for the exchange of experiences among professionals, organizations and educational settings, working with document management and administration files.
