Forum Universitätsbibliotheken Österreichs (ubifo) is a cooperative board involving university libraries of the 21 Austrian federal universities and the Austrian national Library. The paper outlines changes for university libraries implicated by the legal validity of the Universitätsgesetz 2002. Furthermore national and international cooperations of Austrian university libraries will be listed and the forum's current projects and future fields of actvity are presented.
